Risk Disclosure

Read this before you subscribe.

Digital assets are volatile and speculative. You can lose some or all of the money you put in. Nothing in this service is advice about your situation, and no outcome is promised or guaranteed.

If you are not prepared to lose what you invest, do not invest it.

This disclosure forms part of the Terms of Service. By using Mile High Crypto (the "Service") you confirm you have read and understood it.

1. Risk of total loss

Digital assets are highly volatile, speculative, and can lose value rapidly and without warning. Prices can fall to zero. Liquidity can disappear, leaving positions impossible to exit at any reasonable price. Only participate with money you can afford to lose entirely.

2. Nothing here is advice, and nothing is tailored to you

All content is general, educational and informational. It is not financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice, not a recommendation, and not adapted to your circumstances, portfolio, financial situation, risk tolerance, objectives or needs.

I do not know your situation and do not assess it. You are solely responsible for evaluating everything against your own circumstances and, where appropriate, for seeking advice from a licensed professional who does know your situation.

3. No recommendations, no management, no execution

The Service does not tell you what to buy or sell for your situation, does not manage your assets, does not take custody of your funds, and does not execute or arrange transactions on your behalf. I am not registered as a dealer, adviser or investment fund manager.

If anyone in the digital asset space, including me, offers to trade your money for you in exchange for a share of the profits, treat that as a serious warning sign and seek independent advice before proceeding.

4. My personal activity is not a track record

I document my own trades, positioning and decisions for transparency. This is a record of my personal activity only. It is:

My capital, time horizon, risk tolerance, tax position and professional context differ from yours. Position sizing that is appropriate for me may be entirely inappropriate for you. Copying my activity is not the intended use of the Service and is done at your own risk.

5. Conflicts of interest

I generally hold positions in the digital assets I discuss, and I disclose holdings in the content as a matter of policy.

I may buy, sell, increase, reduce or close any position at any time, without notice, including before, during or after discussing that asset, and including in ways inconsistent with views I have previously expressed. My views can change at any time, and I am under no obligation to update previously published content.

6. Research has limits

Research, including on-chain and forensic analysis, reduces uncertainty. It does not eliminate it. Data can be incomplete, delayed, misreported or deliberately manipulated. On-chain attribution is inherently probabilistic. A thorough analysis can still reach a wrong conclusion, and an asset that passes every check can still fail.

No screening process I apply should be understood as a guarantee that an asset is safe, legitimate, or free of fraud.

7. Leverage, derivatives and advanced strategies

Content may reference futures, perpetuals, options, leverage, yield strategies or other advanced instruments. These carry materially higher risk, including the risk of losing more than your initial capital and of forced liquidation. They are not suitable for most participants. Any discussion of them is descriptive of my own activity or of the market generally, and is not a suggestion that you use them.

8. Regulatory and tax uncertainty

The regulatory treatment of digital assets in Canada, Quebec and elsewhere is evolving. Whether a given token is treated as a security or otherwise can change with circumstances and over time, and rules affecting exchanges, custody, staking and trading may change with little notice.

You are solely responsible for the tax treatment of your own activity and for your own reporting obligations. Consult a qualified tax professional.

9. Third-party and technology risk

Exchanges, custodians, wallets, bridges and protocols carry risks independent of market movement, including hacks, exploits, smart contract failure, insolvency, freezes, withdrawal suspensions, regulatory seizure and outages. Self-custody carries the risk of permanent, unrecoverable loss through lost keys or seed phrases, or through fraud and social engineering. I am not responsible for any third-party platform.

10. Availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Publication timing may vary, and delivery may be interrupted. The Service is not a real-time alert system, is not suitable for time-critical decisions, and should never be relied upon as such.

11. Your responsibility

Every decision you make about digital assets is yours alone, including decisions influenced by content from the Service. By using the Service you accept full responsibility for those decisions and for their consequences, and you accept the limitations on liability set out in the Terms of Service.
